(Milford)– A Milford man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle accident early this (Fri.) morning.
The Milford Police Department says 27-year-old Jason Lake was westbound on Highway 86 just east of Jeppson Road in West Okoboji when he lost control of a 1998 BMW he was driving. The vehicle left the roadway and went into the north ditch where it rolled several times, ejecting Lake.
Lake was transported by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare. He was transferred to McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls with multiple injuries.
The mishap took place shortly after midnight.
Authorities say an investigation continues and charges are pending.
The Milford Police Department was assisted by the Arnolds Park and Okoboji Police Departments, the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office and Milford Fire and Rescue.
