Milford Man Killed In Car-Motorcycle Crash

November 23, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– A Milford man was killed Tuesday when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a car on highway 86 two miles north of Highway nine.

The Dickinson county Sheriff’s Office says a 1991 Pontiac Bonneville driven by 19-year-old Brian Nelson of Windom, Minnesota and a 2000 Titan motorcycle driven by 43-year-old Robin Williams of Milford were northbound when Williams attempted to pass Nelson in a no-passing zone.

Williams was taken by ambulance to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead. No injuries were reported to Nelson and a passenger in the vehicle he was driving.

The mishap took place around 4:00 p.m.

It was investigated by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the Iowa State Patrol, Spirit Lake and Okoboji Police Departments, Spirit Lake Fire Department and Spirit Lake First Responders.
