Milford Man Arrested In Arnolds Park Home Invasion

November 22, 2014

(Arnolds Park)– A Milford man faces charges in connection with a home invasion Tuesday in Arnolds Park.

Arnolds Park police say a man entered a residence on Emerald Drive. An occupant of the residence happened to be at home at the time and witnessed the intruder going through some personal belongings. The suspect then fled the area.

Authorities were abe to get a good description of the suspect and a vehicle he was driving.

Authorities say the suspect, identified as 48-year-old Michael Wiese of Milford, was arrested a short time later after being stopped by a Dickinson County Sheriff’s Deputy.

He was charged with burglary in the third degree, theft in the second degree, possession of stolen property, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Authorities say the value of the property that was taken was more than a thousand dollars but less than 10-thousand.

The Arnolds Park Police Department was assisted by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, Milford and Okoboji Police Departments, Iowa State Patrol and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
