(Milford)– A Milford family is being allowed to keep 24 chickens on their property for atleast another year.
The city council Monday voted three-to-two to allow the family to keep the chickens as long as they’re used for show purposes only.
The council first granted the family permission to have the birds in city limits a year ago, with the matter to be reviewed on an annual basis.
It was noted Monday the city has received no complaints about the chickens, which are shielded by a fence.
Councilmen Todd Schillinger and Mike Anderson voted against allowing the family to keep the chickens.
