(Milford)– Monday’s Milford city council meeting was the last one for Councilman Detlef Ball, who’s stepping down after nearly six years.
Ball says he learned a lot over the years as far as how the city operates and the various day-to-day issues that are out there. Ball says he’s proud of what was accomplished in Milford during his tenure on the council, including updates to various equipment in the Utilities and Street Departments.
Ball has accepted a promotion in his job and is moving to Racine, Wisconsin.
The city council Monday was supposed to act on a replacement for Ball, but took no action. Only one person has expressed an interest in being appointed to fill the vacancy. The council opted to re-advertise the vacancy. They could also decide yet NOT to appoint anyone to fill the vacancy and instead put it on the ballot with the November election.
