(Milford)– A two-vehicle collision Sunday on Highway 71 in north Milford sent four people to the hospital.
Milford police say 48-year-old Lori Ohrt of Milford was attempting to make a left-hand turn when she was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by 70-year-old Alice Spears of Spencer.
Ohrt and two passengers in her vehicle were injured and taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare. No injuries were reported to Spears. A passenger in her vehicle was also injured and taken to LRH. All of the injuries were believed to be minor. The names of the passengers weren’t immediately available.
Two thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 1999 Chevrolet van driven by Ohrt; a 2002 Ford Focus driven by Spears sustained an estimated four thousand dollars in damage.
Authorities say the mishap took place around 3:15 p.m.
Milford police were assisted by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, Arnolds Park Police Department, Milford Fire and Rescue and Lakes Regional Healthcare Ambulance.
