Meth Lab Discovered In Spirit Lake

November 23, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– The execution of a search warrant on a Spirit Lake apartment has resulted in the discovery of a meth lab.

Spirit Lake police say the search warrant was executed Monday on apartment 13 at 1514 Hill Avenue.

30-year-old Christopher John Larson, who resides in the apartment, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of pseudoephedrine, ether, red phosphorous, lithium and iodine with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine. The five charges are class “D” felonies. Larson is being held in the Dickinson county jail on bond of 27-thousand dollars.

The Spirit Lake Police Department was assisted by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, the sheriff’s posse, and the Iowa Department of Narcotics Enforcement.

Authorities say the case remains under investigation and additional arrests are likely.
