(Ruthven)– A meth lab dump site has been found in Palo Alto county.
Sheriff Dennis Goeders says a county road crew made the discovery Tuesday in the 2800 block of 375th Avenue in Lost Island Township. Lithium batteries, pseudoephedrine packaging and other items were found. Evidence was collected from the scene and sent to the DCI crime lab for analysis.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Iowa State Fire Marshal and Emmet County Sheriff’s Office.
Anyone finding similar items should leave them alone and contact authorities immediately. Such items can be highly toxic.
