(Sioux City)– An Estherville man has been charged in a federal indictment with one count of possession with intent to distribute a methamphetamine mixture.
The indictment alleges that on or about March 27th of this year, 32-year-old Michael Edward Mann knowingly and intentionally possessed more than 225 grams of a methamphetamine mixture.
Mann appeared July 11th in U-S District Court in Sioux City and was ordered held without bond.
Trial is set for September 3rd.
If convicted Mann faces a mandatory minimum sentence of atleast five years imprisonment with a maximum of 40 years; a two million dollar fine plus assessments; and four years of supervised release.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U-S Attorney Kevin Fletcher. It was investigated by the Estherville Police Department, Emmet County Sheriff’s Office and the Division of Narcotics Enforcement.
