(Jackson, Mn.)– An omnibus hearing that had been scheduled for this Thursday for Suzanne McNulty of rural Lakefield is being continued.
John Scholl, Defense Attorney, requested the continuance to allow more time to conduct additional testing of evidence. The state did not reject to the request. A new date for the hearing hasn’t been set. Jackson County Attorney Robert O’Conner says the testing could take several weeks to complete.
McNulty was charged with second degree assault in the November 14th, 2003 shooting death of Ervin Berg of Spirit Lake. The shooting took place at a farmstead south of Lakefield.
