(Spirit Lake)– A major expansion proposed for Dickinson County Memorial Hospital is moving forward. The hospital’s board of trustees voted unanimously Thursday evening to get more detailed plans after reviewing preliminary ones.
DCMH President and C-E-O Rich Kielman says the 6.45 million dollar project will have the hospital expanding to the east with 18 new single occupancy rooms with existing ones being remodeled. An addition to the southwest will house additional outpatient services.
Following a bidletting late this winter or spring, construction is scheduled to start this coming summer.
