(Arnolds Park)– Lieutenant Governor Sally Pederson was in the Iowa Great Lakes Area Wednesday evening. She appeared at a fundraiser for Milford Democrat Greg Stevens who’s seeking re-election to his statehouse seat in November, 2004.
Pederson says without a doubt, this is a critical time for the state. She says Iowans need to understand the tough choices still to come in light of the ongoing budget woes. She says the choices will involve quality of life, education, programs for the youth and elderly and healthcare.
Pederson has been travelling throughout the state recently stumping for Democratic candidates. She’s very optimistic about their chances, saying people are realizing the Vilsack administration’s commitment to healthcare and education, something she says has been lacking in the Republican-controlled legislature.
