(Spirit Lake)– A longtime member of the Dickinson County Board of Supervisors announced Monday she is NOT going to seek another term.
June Goldman told KUOO news the fact that her term will be running out prematurely as the result of converting to a five member board weighed heavily on her decision. Originally, Goldman would have two years left in her term. But the advent of a five member board means the terms of all the current supervisors will expire at the end of this year. Goldman feels not many people were aware of that when they voted to switch to a five-member board. Goldman feels the result of the vote would have been different if they would have known that at the time.
Goldman also told KUOO news she wants to visit her family and plans to write a book.
Goldman will have served 14 years on the Board of Supervisors at the end of this year.
