(Undated)– A number of local school districts have been awarded technology grants through the U-S Department of Education.
In Dickinson county, the Spirit Lake Elementary and Middle Schools will receive 25-thousand dollars each; the Terril School District will get 232-thousand; and Harris-Lake Park will receive 25-thousand dollars.
Other schools that have been awarded funding include the Spencer Middle School, which will get 6,550-dollars; Fairview Park Elementary School in Spencer, 25-thousand; and the Graettinger Elementary School, which will also receive 25-thousand dollars.
All total, two and-a-half million dollars is being awarded to 109 Iowa schools to help connect elementary and middle schools to the internet.
