Local Lawmaker Agrees With Calls To Repeal Some Tax Breaks

(Milford)– A local state representative says Governor Tom Vilsack’s call to repeal some tax breaks may have some merit.

Greg Stevens of Milford tells KUOO news he agrees some of the tax breaks should never have been allowed from the get-go.

Debate over whether to reinstate some of the tax breaks is likely to be stormy though. House Majority Leader Chris Rants of Sioux City says tinkering with the tax code could be complicated and that it could lead to some inequity.
