(Undated)– Latest figures from the Iowa Workforce Development show Iowa’s jobless rate eased slightly in November…dropping to 4.7 percent. That compares with 4.8 percent in October. A year ago Iowa’s jobless rate was at 4.6 percent.
Locally, Dickinson county saw its unemployment rate increase…going from two and-a-half percent in October to 3.1 percent in November.
Clay county also saw an increase, but not as large, going from 2.9 percent in October to 3.1 percent in November.
Emmet county posted a fractional gain…increasing to three and-a-half percent in November from 3.4 percent in October.
O’Brien county followed the same trend…going from 2.6 percent in October to 2.8 percent in November.
Palo Alto county also posted an increase…going from 2.3 percent in October to 2.6 percent in November.
