(Undated)– Iowa’s jobless rate was unchanged in February, remaining at 5.1 percent…compared with 4.7 percent one year ago.
Locally, unemployment in February in Dickinson county dropped to 6.2 percent from 8.1 percent in January; Clay county saw it’s jobless rate drop as well…going from 6.1 percent in January to 5.7 percent in February; in Emmet county, the rate declined from 7.8 percent in January to 6.1 percent in February. O’Brien county also posted a decline…going from 6.4 percent in January to 5.8 percent in February. The February jobless rate for Osceola county was 6.6 percent…compared to 5.9 percent in January. Palo Alto county’s jobless rate remained nearly steady…going from 5.6 percent in January to 5.4 percent in February.
