(Undated)– Some local airports have been awarded federal funding for various projects.
Locally, the Estherville Municipal Airport will receive nearly 181-thousand dollars to replace a runway lighting system; Storm Lake will get 212,400-dollars to rehabilitate runway; Pocahontas was awarded 78-thousand dollars to construct a building housing snow removal equipment; and Algona will receive slightly more than 71-thousand dollars to rehabilitate an entrance road.
Statewide, the Federal Aviation Administration has awarded more than 15.3 million dollars for 39 airports.
