(Spencer)– The Clay County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a one vehicle crash that took place Wednesday on Highway 71 south of Rossie.
Deputies say the accident happened around 4:45 p.m. in an area known as “goat hill”.
An Oldsmobile driven by 20-year-old Cherish Rettig of Linn Grove was turning onto Highway 71 from 460th Street when she went into the ditch.
The vehicle struck a culvert and went up a hill before coming to rest.
Rettig was taken by ambulance to the Spencer Hospital. She was treated and released.
Damage to the car was estimated at about six thousand dollars.
The crash remains under investigation.
