(Spencer)– A Linn Grove man will spend the next 16 years behind bars after being sentenced earlier this week in Clay County District Court.
Douglas Allen Stoermer was sentenced Monday on charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of meth without having the appropriate tax stamps and possession of marijuana.
District Judge Nancy Whittenburg ordered Stoermer to serve the 10 year, five year and one year sentences consecutively. He’ll remain free on bond pending his appeal to the Iowa Supreme Court.
In other news from Clay County District Court, an Everly man will spend the next two decades behind bars for having sexual contact with a person under the age of 12.
Charles Buccheri was sentenced Monday after pleading guilty to two counts of third degree sexual abuse…each a class “C” felony. District Judge Nancy Whittenburg ordered the two 10-year prison terms to run consecutively.
The charges stem from an investigation in March by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
