(Milford)– Strong thunderstorms rumbled through the area Wednesday evening producing heavy rain and intense lightning. There were no reports of severe weather, however, and no warnings were issued.
In Milford, a house owned by Dan Johanson at 1112 16th Street was hit by lightning shortly after 9:00 p.m. Fire Chief Don Eckard says there was no fire, but the jolt caused some damage…blowing some brick out of the home’s foundation and a thermostat was blown out of a wall. The Johansons were home at the time, but no injuries were reported.
1.64 inches of rain fell at the KUOO studios.
