Lieutenant Governor Visits Spencer

November 23, 2014

(Spencer)– Lieutenant Governor Sally Pederson was in Spencer Wednesday.

Pederson spoke to about 30 people at Iowa Lakes Community College. It was one in a series of meetings being held across the state to promote Governor Vilsack’s legislative agenda.

Some of the goals Pederson mentioned include creation of an Iowa Values Fund to help boost the economy; to double the number of college-educated workers in the state; to create 100-thousand new jobs over the next four years that require atleast two years of a college education; and to eliminate the impaired waters list by 2010.

Area business leaders, farmers and city and county officials were in attendance.
