(Spirit Lake)– Whether or not terms of a settlement in a lawsuit involving the city of Spirit Lake and two former officers on the Spirit Lake Police Department will be made public remains to be seen.
Meeting in special session today (Thurs.), the city council voted to direct the City Attorney’s Office to contact attorneys for Doug Ricke and Larry Moorhead to see what their feelings are on the matter.
The council discussed the matter during a closed session. The motion was made and acted upon after reconvening in open session.
As of late this (Thurs.) afternoon Assistant City Attorney Greg Owen said he hadn’t heard back yet from both attorneys.
