(Primghar)– A Laurens man has been accused of providing false information in a scheme to obtain a prescription drug.
29-year-old Kevin Kress has been charged with fraudulently obtaining a prescription medication.
The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office says it stems from an incident October 7th at Baum Harmon Hospital in Primghar in which a male sought treatment at the hospital’s emergency room. After receiving treatment hospital staff determined the man may have provided false information. An investigation was conducted by the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office which determined Kress had allegedly provided the false information.
Kress was arrested by the Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Office on the O’Brien county warrant. He was transported to the O’Brien county jail Tuesday. Kress appeared before a magistrate Wednesday and was released on his own recognizance.
