Late Summer Bidletting Still On For Dickinson Co. Courthouse Project

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– Things are still on track for a bid letting to be held later this summer for the new Dickinson county courthouse.

Supervisor Paul Johnson says a new time line identified last week by the architect on the project calls for requests for bids to be sent out June 28th with a pre-bid meeting July 15th. A bid opening would be held July 27th with the bid being awarded August 3rd.

Johnson says as of right now they’re planning for a groundbreaking ceremony sometime between August 7th and August 12th. He says a number of dignitaries will be invited, including Governor Vilsack, U-S Senators Chuck Grassley and Tom Harkin, Congressman Steve King, State Senator David Johnson, State Representative Greg Stevens and Tom Brokaw…among others.
