(Okoboji)– The Lakes Art Center has been awarded a three-thousand dollar grant through an eastern Iowa foundation.
Jessica Strom, Director of Performing Arts at the Lakes Art Center, says the grant comes from the Community Foundation of Waterloo and Cedar Falls through the Cedar Valley Corporation Fund. Strom says the money will be used to finish off the green room at the Lauridsen Performing Arts Theatre at the Lakes Art Center.
Strom says they ran out of money in the building project to finish out the green room at the same time the main part of the theatre was being completed.
