(Arnolds Park)– Over 100 people participated in Saturday’s Memory Walk in Arnolds Park, a fundraiser for the Big Sioux Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. The event raised 19-thousand dollars…surpassing the goal of 15-thousand.
Brooke Symonds, Public Relations Director for the organization, says the proceeds will go toward the various services the Big Sioux Chapter provides to Alzheimer’s patients and their families in northwest Iowa.
Individuals and teams from Clay, Dickinson, Emmet and Palo Alto counties participated in this year’s Iowa Great Lakes Memory Walk.
It was the fifth year for the event.
