(Lakefield, Mn.)– A car-pedestrian accident has claimed the life of a Lakefield, Minnesota man.
The Minnesota State Patrol says the mishap involved a 1997 Chevrolet driven by 50-year-old Stephanie Daberkow of Lakefield. The pedestrian is identified as 81-year-old Benjamin Kruger of Lakefield. Kruger was airlifted to Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls where he died of massive head trauma.
No injuries were reported to Daberkow.
The mishap took place shortly after 6:00 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 86 a mile north of Lakefield.
