(Spirit Lake)– One person was injured this (Thursday) morning in a mishap involving a cement truck on a gravel road northwest of Spirit Lake.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says the driver of the truck, 30-year-old Ryan Lake of Lake Park lost control while rounding a curve where 140th Street turns into 145th Street two miles east of Highway 86.
The truck, loaded with nine and-a-half yards of cement, went into the ditch and overturned.
Lake was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare and was transferred to a Sioux Falls hospital. The extent of his injuries wasn’t known.
The mishap took place around 10:30 a.m.
