Lab Test Results Land O’Brien County Man Back In Jail On Meth Charges

November 22, 2014

(Primghar)– A Primghar man has been arrested for atleast a third time on meth charges.

37-year-old Orrin Cain was initially arrested in April of this year in O’Brien county on an outstanding criminal warrant out of Palo Alto county. Upon making the arrest, deputies noticed a small amount of methamphetamine and lithium battery on Cain’s person. Cain was charged with possession of lithium and possession of methamphetamine. That incident led to the execution of a search warrant on Cain’s residence and garage. Chemicals and items used to make methaphetamine were seized, resulting in additional charges against Cain.

Cain was arrested again Wednesday of this week by an O’Brien county sheriff’s deputy on a warrant charging him with manufacturing and possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine. Authorities say the warrant was issued after they received lab results of evidence seized in April. Cain was held overnight on a 32-thousand dollar bond. He was released Thursday on his own recognizance by O’Brien County Magistrate Jeff Queck.

Manufacturing/possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine is a class “B” felony punishable by imprisonment of up to 25 years.
