(Emmetsburg)– State Senator Jack Kibbie of Emmetsburg announced late this (Friday) afternoon he’s going to seek re-election to the Senate District Four seat.
Kibbie has served in the Iowa Legislature for more than 20 years.
In addition to farm and rural issues, Kibbie says he remains dedicated to education as a member of the Senate Education Appropriations Committee. He has also served on the Community College Board for 17 years, including 10 as its President.
Kibbie also serves on the Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment and the Administrative Rules and Review Committees. He is a ranking member of the State Government and Ethics Committees and represents the Senate on the Iowa Public Employees Retirement System Investment Board.
Senate District Four includes all of Emmet, Humboldt, Kossuth, Palo Alto and Pocahontas counties and three townships in Webster county.
