(Des Moines)– State Senator Jack Kibbie of Emmetsburg has been appointed to a special legislative interim committee investigating issues related to the sale of motor vehicle fuel, such as minimum mark-ups and selling below cost.
The study was requested by several lawmakers concerned that unfair or deceptive practices could force some smaller businesses to close, resulting in monopolies.
Senate President Kibbie also serves as co-chair of the Ethics Committee and is a member of the Agriculture, Rules and Administration and State Government Committees.
