(Estherville)– Vickie Jurrens was the winner of a special election Tuesday to fill an unexpired term of Emmet County Treasurer.
Jurrens received 1,225 votes. The next highest vote-getter was Sandy Guge with 617, followed by Susan Nelson with 250.
Jurrens will fill the remaining term of Betty Anderson, who recently retired from the office.
Guge had been appointed by Emmet county supervisors to fill the term, but a petition was filed resulting in Tuesday’s special election.
