(Jackson, Mn.)– An investigation is under way into the cause of a fire that destroyed a vacant house earlier this week north of Jackson.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says the house, located in section two of Des Moines Township, was completely engulfed when firefighters were called to the scene around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Authorities say the two-story house, owned by Mike Halvorson and Michelle Ingbritson, was for sale. It’s been declared a total loss.
The State Fire Marshall’s Office is investigating.
