(Jackson, Mn.)– A Jackson county grand jury has returned an indictment against a Jackson man in connection with the death of his brother.
The indictment charges 38-year-old Tyron Collins with murder in the first degree while committing domestic abuse; murder in the second degree, intentional; and murder in the second degree, felony murder assault in the second degree.
Collins’ brother, 37-year-old Kenneth Collins, Jr., was fatally stabbed June 10th of this year while he was working at a Lakefield nursing home.
TyRon Collins fled the scene following the incident. He was apprehended a short time later in Worthington following a high speed chase.
The indictment was filed last Friday with the Jackson County County Court Administrator’s Office.
Authorities say no other staff members or residents of the Colonial Manor Nursing Home were threatened during the incident.
