(Lakefield)– A rural Jackson county farmer is hospitalized with burns after the tractor he was driving caught on fire Friday.
78-year-old Harold Fisher of rural Lakefield was transported by ambulance to the Worthington Regional Hospital.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says the incident took place on the Darrell Fisher farm near 770th Street and 400th Avenue in the Lakefield area.
Authorities were called to the scene shortly after 2:30 p.m. Friday.
No word on what caused the fire, which heavily damaged the tractor.
Authorities were assisted by the Lakefield Fire Department, Lakefield Ambulance and Lakefield Quick Response.
