(St. Paul)– A long-time Jackson County commissioner has passed away while attending a conference in St. Paul.
Commissioner Bruce Hochstein of Lakefield was found deceased in his hotel room at 10:42 a.m. Thursday.
Jackson county officials say Hochstein and fellow commissioners had been attending a legislative conference in St. Paul.
The exact cause of death wasn’t released, but authorities believe it was natural.
Funeral arrangements are pending with Hansen Funeral Home in Lakefield.
Hochstein was 56.
