(Spirit Lake)– Local customers of Alliant Energy will have a firsthand opportunity to voice their feelings on a nine-point-six percent permanent rate increase the company is seeking.
The Iowa Utilities Board will hold a public hearing on the requested rate hike at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, June 20th at the Spirit Lake High School gym.
Alliant Energy’s northern service territory, which includes Spirit Lake, Okoboji, Arnolds Park, Royal, Ocheyedan and Armstrong, is immune from an interim rate hike the IUB approved earlier this week.
