Iowa Workforce Development Accepting Clay County Fair Job Apps

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– The “help wanted” sign is out at the Clay County Fairgrounds, with the fair now just weeks away.

Officials with Iowa Workforce Development says they are now taking applications for a variety of jobs at the fair, including food service, amusement rides, booth sales, janitorial, display set up and tear down, and so on.

Applications are being accepted at the Iowa Workforce Development office in Spencer, located at 217 West Fifth Street, either in person or by calling 262-1971 extension 123. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

A temporary workforce center will open Wednesday, September 8th on the fairgrounds just south of the grandstand.

Full time and part time work is available on day or evening shifts.

Employers and vendors at the fair who need workers should also contact the local Iowa Workforce Development office. No fees are charged for the service.
