KUOO announced yesterday that Iowa Lakes Community College has broken the 2-thousand enrollment mark for the first time. President Mike Hupfer says three new offerings this year are proving to be popular. The first is computer forensics, which is part of the criminal justice program at ILCC. Hupfer believes it’s the only program of its kind offered in the Midwest. Iowa Lakes Community College is also expanding its program this year to help meet the reported shortage of nursing personnel in the state. And, Hupfer tells KUOO news, a program aimed at golf course professionals is getting a lot of interest in its first semester. Enrollment in Iowa Lakes Community College classes on-line called “E-College” has also doubled this year.
