Investors Announce Intent To Purchase Boji Bay

November 22, 2014

(Milford)– Three northwest Iowa businessmen have announced their intention to purchase the Boji Bay water park in north Milford.

The park’s current owner, Jack Clark, says Roger Athens, Dan Wells and Gene Collins have agreed to purchase the 42-acre site.

Plans haven’t been finalized yet, but Collins says they’re looking at building a strip mall, convenience store and R-V park on the site, along with a franchised family restaurant known as “Pirates Cove”.

Tentative plans call according to Collins call for the lazy river to stay, along with the miniature golf course.

The three say it could take five years to fully develop the area.

They expect to take ownership of the property by fall. Construction would start immediately with hopes of having some of the attraction up and running for the 2006 tourist season.
