(Lake Park)– Authorities are investigating a shooting Sunday in Lake Park that injured a six-year-old girl.
Police and sheriff’s deputies were called to a residence in the 300 block of East Sixth Street.
The girl was airlifted to Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls where she is said to be recovering.
Few details are being released into the incident.
The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is assisting in the investigation. Agents believe they have identified a person responsible.
They aren’t saying if the shooting was intentional or if it was an accident.
