(Spirit Lake)– The start of early, in-person voting in Iowa for the November 3rd election is just a couple of days away now. Jordan Moyer oversees elections at the Dickinson County Auditor’s Office…
“Wednesday, October 14th is the first day to in-person absentee vote and that is again going to be held down in the Board of Supervisors Room. You can park on the south side of the courthouse for easier access because the room is right there, and there will be a handicap spot that’s up there by the judge’s parking.”
Moyer says the procedure will remain the same as it has in the past…
“The only thing that they’ll need to bring is their driver’s license, and then if for some reason they don’t have a driver’s license they would be able to verify their registration with getting a voter I.D. pin.”
She adds there are a few things you can do ahead of time to get ready…
“You can go onto the front page of our website and you can print out the absentee request form and you can also print that off to bring, for absentee voting to be ahead of the game, too. And then we also have the candidate’s list on there so you can see who’s running and also the ballot style on there that you can see what specifically will be on your ballot.”
Early in-person voting will continue through the day before the November 3rd election.
