(Algona)– Trustees of Iowa Lakes Community College have set September 14th as the date for voters to renew the Plant Fund Levy.
The trustees took the action at their regular monthly meeting Tuesday in Algona.
The levy has been in place since 1970, and if approved, would continue through 2022.
The funds generated by the levy can be used for facilities, equipment, educational resources and to improve energy efficiency of buildings. Top priorities include a technology-telepresence for all campuses to enhance access to classes and expand the opportunity for advanced courses for students.
Classrooms would also be upgraded with improved heating and air conditioning units.
