(Spencer)– The Board of Trustees of Iowa Lakes Community College has officially approved tuition and fees for the upcoming school year.
During their meeting Tuesday in Spencer, the trustees moved in-state tuition up seven dollars per credit hour to 103 dollars. Out-of-state tuition will also go up seven dollars per credit hour to 105-dollars.
College President Mike Hupfer says funding from the legislature prevented an even bigger increase. He says they’ll be getting more than double what’s been handed out in the past, but it still won’t keep pace with what’s needed.
ILCC trustees also Tuesday voted to implement the second year of a three-year contract with the college’s faculty. It calls for a total package of 4.75 percent for the coming college year.
