(Estherville)– 29 students from the various campuses and attendance centers of Iowa Lakes Community College will head to Des Moines later this week.
ILCC Student Service Director Bill Lapczenski tells KUOO news they’ll depart early Wednesday for the state capital and will be there until Thursday. Lapczenski says Iowa Lakes students will join those from other community colleges to visit with lawmakers about the importance of community colleges and the role they play in their respective communities.
Lapczenski says they plan to drive home the point that community colleges play a major role in addressing Iowa’s “brain drain”.
