(Estherville)– Iowa Lakes Community College has received a sizable grant to be used for scholarships.
The college will receive 90-thousand dollars annually beginning in January 2002 through the National Science Foundation’s “Infinity Scholars Grant” program.
The program is intended to increase enrollment and retention of academically talented, financially needy students entering mathematics, computer science or engineering-related fields.
The grant will provide 32 full-time enrolled students with financial and academic support.
Application deadline for scholarships to be awarded for the spring 2002 semester is December 1st. Applications are available by contacting ILCC or visiting their website at www.ilcc.cc.ia.us.
