(Estherville)– The nursing program at Iowa Lakes Community College is the recipient of a 90-thousand dollar grant through the Helene Fuld Trust.
Diana Refsel of ILCC’s Planning and Development office says the funding will make it possible to offer scholarships based on financial need, potential to succeed and personal or family situations.
Refsel says the grant program is intended to assist students in getting their degree while working less and allowing more time for scholastic pursuits.
Iowa Lakes was one of only three community colleges in the nation to be funded by the grant.
