ILCC Aviation Program To Be Temporarily Relocated

November 23, 2014

(Estherville)– There will be a major change this summer for the aviation program at Iowa Lakes Community College.

Chief Flight Instructor Ron Duer says the program will be temporarily relocating starting in the next week or so. Duer says they’ll be moving to the Spencer and Algona airports to accomodate a runway rehabilitation project at the Estherville airport…where the program is normally based.

Duer says they’ll have four planes stationed at Spencer and three at Algona. He says the planes will return to Estherville in mid-August, when the project is slated for completion.

The Aviation Program at Iowa Lakes is the only two-year program in the state with its own independent flight training department.
