Identity Of Pilot Killed In Crash At Jackson Airport Is Released

(Jackson, Mn.)– Jackson county authorities have released the name of the pilot who was killed Monday in a plane crash at the Jackson Airport.

The victim is identified as 45-year-old Dounglas Lee Scholl of rural Trimont.

The plane Scholl was piloting crashed around 7:30 a.m. Monday at the end of a sod runway.

Scholl was the only person on board.

A witness was driving by on Interstate 90 as the plane was going down. Jim Aden of Lakefield says he couldn’t see any signs of trouble with the plane. It crashed shortly after that.

The crash remains under investigation by federal officials.
